4.1.20 CSGO Slate

Hopefully HAVU’s massacre of Envy yesterday helped you more than it hurt. Calyx certainly disappointed but his team did not offer any help in this disastrous performance. At our first glance over this slate we see that Draftkings is still not updating the prices properly for some of the top performers on lesser teams. People like qikert, KSCERATO, and huNter- are still all under $6500 which lends to incredible roster flexibility. This makes these slates tougher to navigate as everyone will be rostering the top stars with little difficulty. Make sure if you play gpps that you first set aside your player pool and then make enough lineups to get exposure to all of them with different combinations. There will be little margin for error to cash on slates like this if you play less than ~20-30 lineups. Good luck out there today and continue staying safe.

Draftkings’ scoring follows the chart shown below, with a focus on K/D and clutch plays. Rosters are set with a Captain position who receives 1.5x his points at 1.5x his salary, but beyond that it is positionless. This is important to understand because CS teams follow a composition of different roles such as IGL (In game leader), entry fragger, support, etc. With Draftkings making no distinction between players, it is left to you to decide which roles are most important within this scoring system and to take advantage of that. For several teams for example, their IGL is not often going to score highly as they may be less skilled at the game but are valuable in ways that Draftkings doesn’t record. With that in mind, I will jump into a quick look at the roles of key players, their key stats, and how their perceived performance should fair in accordance with their salary.

Our top plays are designed to show the most playable options on each team, factoring in performance and price. The top 2 plays on each team will be in our player pool and the third tier top plays are people we will sprinkle in a bit along with the core group. All of the statistics shown are for the last 3 months to see who has been performing well recently while still keeping a significant sample size. Good luck to everyone and we are always looking for feedback on how to improve the readability of our content!

VP V G2 (12 PM EST) VP +238  / G2 -333

PlayerSalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundImpact

VP continues to get battered by every opponent they face and even winning one map seems to be a daunting challenge. As always, 2-0 sweeps create great opportunities for exaggerated scores if players perform early and at qikert’s price, he’s an insane value. He will not be the top scorer on the slate, but at that price he can do some serious damage (like the 75 he put up yesterday in a similar spot). Jame and buster have had big moments recently and we will touch them a bit, but Jame is a step ahead of buster in that regard and we will hopefully see some fun AWP duels between him and kennyS.

Top Plays: qikert, Jame, buster

G2 could not possibly ask for a better matchup and every player is conceivably viable in this series. It’s like you are stacking against the Knicks, Orioles, or Bengals here. HuNter- is one of the top players on the planet and his impractical pricing shoots him to the top of our rankings. KennyS takes our second spot due to his high ceiling fueled by his tendency for making big plays that DK rewards with bonus points. Nexa and jaCkz are too pricey for consistent exposure, so we like AmaNeK better there. That being said, they will find their ways into one or 2 lineups just in case, they can’t be entirely ignored on a slate like this.

Top plays: huNter-, kennyS, AmaNeK, jaCkz/nexa

ORG V DIG (1 PM EST) ORG +108 / DIG -141

PlayerSalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundImpact

Just like 2-0 series give large rewards to early performances, a 2-1 series allows players to rebound after a dud of a game. Betting lines put this matchup nearly even and we should see a lot of chances for players to shine. This is the 3rd iteration of ORG V DIG this month and WARDELL and Subroza both played very well in each series. WARDELL is an awper with faster reflexes than the senior citizen DG squad and should be capable of putting on another strong performance. Subroza is the easy number 2 option here and although Infinite could very well put up a solid spot here, we will likely focus roster spots elsewhere.

Top plays:  WARDELL, Subroza

F0rest and GeT_RiGhT are the opposite 1,2 punch for DIG and are the most viable options here. Friberg is a joke and GuardiaN may be distracted if the great grandkids are visiting so they will likely be ignored. There’s not much else to say here to be honest….2 man team here.

Top plays: f0rest, GeT_RiGhT

MiBR V GenG (3:45 PM EST) MiBR -137 / GenG +105

PlayerSalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundImpact

MiBR pulled out a 2-0 thriller at the end of map 2 yesterday to get back in the win column. FalleN, fer, and kNgV all put up great stat lines to continue their dominance for their squad. Ranking them is the great mystery of DFS, but fer is really their best player and has also played well against GenG in the past so we are most comfortable rolling him out. This leaves FalleN and kNgV as 2a and 2b, but both will see themselves in a few of our lineups.

Top plays: fer, FalleN, kNgV

GenG is one of my least favorite teams to predict and autimatic is really their only consistent top tier performer and even he’s not that great. Daps and koosta show flashes but there isn’t a great deal of harmony on this up and down team and I expect a loss in this matchup. This feels like a 2-1 series in MiBR’s favor here and we will have some exposure to the 3 guys mentioned but we will not be targeting them by any means.

Top plays: autimatic, koosta, daps

FUR V EG (3:45 PM EST) FUR +151 / EG -200

PlayerSalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundImpact

FURIA comes into this matchup as an underdog despite a 4 game win streak that has been really eye opening around the community as we start to take them seriously. EG has also had some recent struggles that makes this one of the more fascinating games of the slate, but one I believe FUR will win. KSCERATO has been the fantasy darling of the squad but Hen1 and yuurih have been great as well. At these depressed prices you will see people go back to them and it’s a choice to make if you fade or play them. We will likely be playing them a fair amount as their cohesion as a team has been spot on and should lead to their players being put in positions to succeed.

Top plays: KSCERATO, yuurih, HEN1

PlayerSalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundImpact

Tarik accidentally put up a huge spot the other night and the only thing i can say is that he’s one of the current players that may perform better online than on LAN but he cannot be reasonably expected to carry EG again and we will be fading him here in hopes that other people chase his last game. Brehze and CeRq are the leaders of this squad and to our pleasant surprise are actually priced accordingly. They both need to step up to help bring some more consistency to EG’s play as a team and if they do that they should be able to get the win.
Top plays: Brehze, CeRq
