4.7-8.20 LOL LCS Slate

NA has been pretty simple so far. With EG taking the series against FlyQuest and Cloud 9 not going the way of G2, things look a lot more structured in the LCS. Honestly it’s most likely going to be C9 taking the championship, but let’s not get too far ahead. Now we get to see a few extra teams face off against the losers from this weekend.

The last time these teams fought, GG managed to take a victory. They were best of 1s, meaning those games might not have been entirely indicative of what FLY could do. Overall, FLY’s lineup is more solid despite their recent loss to EG in the playoffs, and they’re chances are pretty good this best of 5.

PowerOfEvil stands out as a force to be reckoned with on Fly. With relatively low scores during the playoffs, FLY’s one victory included PowerOfEvil carrying hard as Azir, while the top sub solo did work on Aatrox in the final match. If they sub him in, he could be worthwhile, but he won’t be playing as many games as some other laners so bear that in mind. Meanwhile, the jungle should be a fairly close matchup and not a significant factor overall. WildTurtle may not be the best investment on this slate, given his past performance, but on a small slate you can have a little exposure there.

TSM’s higher objective count immediately stands out to us, despite playing at a slower pace than 100T. This indicates a solid spot for a victory, but maybe not as much potential for individual fantasy performances. We last saw 100T in a playoff matchup with Cloud9 that was horribly one-sided in the wrong direction. TSM is not Cloud9 and makes for a possible rebound situation for a solid 100T team, looking to get back in the win column before it’s too late. Given the differences in individual talents, it will take a team effort and perfect execution to reverse the course and win this matchup.

A quick glance at our player statistics for this matchup shows a drastic difference in KDA between the teams. Aside from jungle, TSM has the advantage at each position, especially at support where Biofrost carries an unusually hefty KDA of 4.7. This looks like the top support spot of the day and could be a good place to start when beginning your lineups. 100T runs their games through their mid and bot lanes, as evidenced by their much higher kill participation rates, limiting the upside of their top lane. This sets up a nice battle for control of the series through the bottom half of the map and this is where the better plays of the day should be found, it all comes down to which side has a better champ select and takes control early on.
