4.10.20 CSGO Draftkings Slate

So after the introduction of CS:GO on Fanduel yesterday, they have nothing for us today. If that changes we may put out a late article but as of 7:30 PM EST they have nothing up. On Draftkings, we have a small 3 game slate that features two large favorites and some questionable pricing. It could be a high scoring slate and maybe a fun one despite not having many bigger names in play. Lots of stacks to be had, a team or 2 to fade, and another fun day awaits! Stay safe, enjoy some CS, and game on.

Draftkings’ scoring follows the chart shown below, with a focus on K/D and clutch plays. Rosters are set with a Captain position who receives 1.5x his points at 1.5x his salary, but beyond that it is positionless. This is important to understand because CS teams follow a composition of different roles such as IGL (In game leader), entry fragger, support, etc. With Draftkings making no distinction between players, it is left to you to decide which roles are most important within this scoring system and to take advantage of that. For several teams for example, their IGL is not often going to score highly as they may be less skilled at the game but are valuable in ways that Draftkings doesn’t record. With that in mind, I will jump into a quick look at the roles of key players, their key stats, and how their perceived performance should fair in accordance with their salary.

The top 2 plays on each team will be in our player pool and the third tier top plays are people we will sprinkle in a bit along with the core group. All of the statistics shown are for the last 3 months to see who has been performing well recently while still keeping a significant sample size. Good luck to everyone and we are always looking for feedback on how to improve the readability of our content!

Chaos(+208) V HAVU(-286) (1:00 PM EST)

steel$80001.140.7370.60%1.21
voltage$60001.120.6774.40%1.06
vanity$56001.090.772.80%1.03
SicK$54001.140.7472.60%1.08
cam$480010.6271.30%0.93

Chaos are large underdogs here and with good reason. They’ve lost their last 3 series with middling performances except for a great +18 from voltage against FPX. HAVU have won 5 of their last 6 and look poised to keep that trend up here. This makes targeting Chaos difficult on a 6 team slate. Steel is far too expensive to consider given this position but voltage, vanity, and sick could all be okay in a one off. Please be careful with their usage though, they are on this slate for salary relief.

Top Plays: No first, no second, voltage/SicK….vanity

HAVU:

PlayerDK SalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundKASTImpact
sLowi$90001.090.7168.70%1.16
doto$88001.080.6969.40%1.13
ZOREE$86001.190.7773.10%1.2
hoody$76001.080.771.00%1.07
sAw$76000.930.5569.20%0.79

As mentioned, HAVU is rolling and poised for another victory here. That being said, they are certainly priced as such as the overall highest priced team of the slate. ZOREE and sLowi are great picks here, as well as doto. They have swept their last 3 series and if they can pull it off again we will see the top of the GPPS littered with these guys. If a 2-1 victory or a loss rolls around, their prices may hinder some lineups. Hoody and sAw can both do fine here but at these prices we’ll be chasing more upside elsewhere.

Top plays: ZOREE/sLowi, doto

ORG(+222) V MiBR(-323) (4:00 PM EST)

ORG:

PlayerDK SalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundKASTImpact
WARDELL$74001.150.771.90%1.16
Subroza$64001.160.7470.80%1.32
Infinite$62001.160.7572.90%1.12
FNS$60000.960.5870.50%0.85
yay$52001.060.6870.40%1.02

ORG is our largest underdog of the day and is on a similar losing streak as Chaos. These losses usually see a guy or 2 still perform well with WARDELL usually being that guy but, again, we have to be weary of salary when picking a guy to just do “fine”. They were just 2-0’d by MiBR on the 28th and that result being likely here again makes it nearly impossible to play anybody here unless you’re counting on an unlikely upset. FNS and yay were actually their top performers there and if you’re desperate for salary relief you can take a flyer on one but keep in mind the high risk.

FalleN$86001.090.6870.90%1.06
fer$82001.10.7272.10%1.08
kNgV$700010.6765.60%1.04
meyern$66000.960.669.20%0.89
TACO$62000.910.5569.90%0.86

MiBR was put down by FUR once again in the battle for Brazil yesterday and their pride is hurting. We see their big 3 priced fairly with kNgV being discounted due to some recent poor performances. These guys are all going to be chalk on a small slate but as the largest favorite you will have to have some exposure to this one and it’s all about identifying the order of their top guys. We will play all 3 together in a lot of lineups, but our preferred order is: fer, FalleN, and kNgV.

Top plays: fer, FalleN, kNgV

EG(+141) V TL(-185) (4:00 PM EST)

EG:

PlayerDK SalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundKASTImpact
Brehze$78001.140.7771.50%1.21
CeRq$66001.080.6870.50%1.1
tarik$580010.6571.50%0.93
Ethan$56001.030.6372.00%0.99
stanislaw$52000.920.5667.40%0.89

EG are slight underdogs here after just dropping a 2-1 series to the same Liquid squad but we really like them here to rebound. The last series was as close as can be, with map 3 going to overtime, and Brehze and CeRq both played really well. This combo is looking like it will anchor a lot of lineups and this should be a 2-1 series in either direction. These 2 are not priced for their potential (#12 & #18 in the world respectively) and nearly always top EG’s leaderboard. They are two of the safer plays possible here and will play a fun series to watch.

Top plays: CeRq/Brehze

TL:

EliGE$84001.180.7669%1.32
NAF$72001.070.6671.50%0.91

Stewie2k$540010.6266.60%1.12
nitr0$50000.910.5669.80%0.78

Liquid may have just beaten this team but it wasn’t easy. Stewie and nitr0 both went negative and the series dragged out to the end. EliGE had a phenomenal showing and has been Liquid’s top player for 3 straight series. There is good stack potential here if you want to be underweight on some of the larger favorites as we know all these guys have great potential, it’s just a matter of actually coming through on it. NAF and Twistzz are cheap enough to pair with EliGE and can make a great wombo combo here. Stewie has massive upside for a very low price here, but you have to pray to the CS gods that he actually shows it.

Top plays: EliGE, NAF/Twistzz, Stewie2k
