4.14.20 CSGO Slate

We have some better teams here on this 2 game, DK only, slate as the Flashpoint tournament starts to wrap up. Neither game is an obvious blowout but we do feel a sweep is possible in one of them. We hope you all had a great holiday weekend and are not getting burnt out by these small slates that punish even 1 mistake on your lineups. Good luck, stay healthy, and game on.

Draftkings’ scoring follows the chart shown below, with a focus on K/D and clutch plays. Rosters are set with a Captain position who receives 1.5x his points at 1.5x his salary, but beyond that it is positionless. This is important to understand because CS teams follow a composition of different roles such as IGL (In game leader), entry fragger, support, etc. With Draftkings making no distinction between players, it is left to you to decide which roles are most important within this scoring system and to take advantage of that. For several teams for example, their IGL is not often going to score highly as they may be less skilled at the game but are valuable in ways that Draftkings doesn’t record. With that in mind, I will jump into a quick look at the roles of key players, their key stats, and how their perceived performance should fare in accordance with their salary.

Our top plays are designed to show the most playable options on each team, factoring in performance and price. The top 2 plays on each team will be in our player pool and the third tier top plays are people we will sprinkle in a bit along with the core group. All of the statistics shown are for the last 3 months to see who has been performing well recently while still keeping a significant sample size. Good luck to everyone and we are always looking for feedback on how to improve the readability of our content!

HAVU(-175) V Cloud9(+134) (1:00 PM EST)

HAVU has been playing well recently besides a slip up against MiBR and now faces the same Cloud9 squad that they swept on the 5th. ZOREE and sLowi were the top two performers there as they have been in most of their recent appearances and we really like them as a 2 man stack. If you feel like it will be another decisive sweep, you can pair them with a 3rd that won’t break the bank like sAw who is risky but has nice upside at only $6k.

Top Plays: sLowi/ZOREE, no second, sAw

After edging out the victory over Orgless, C9 faces stiffer competition in the form of HAVU. The betting lines make this seem like more of a tossup than we feel it will be and we will largely be avoiding these guys in a likely loss. If you want exposure here, floppy was their best player in their last engagement with HAVU and is usually either the top or bottom from this team. Be careful with him due to the low floor, but he has the same ceiling as any other guy here but at a discount. If you stack these guys as a contrarian lineup in a GPP, just don’t use JT for the love of god, his username is short for Just Terrible.

Top plays: No first, floppy, oSee

MAD Lions(-179) V MiBR(+136) (3:30 PM EST)

PlayerDK SalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundKASTImpact

MAD Lions are on an 8 series winning streak, dropping only 1 map in the process. It seems hard to believe but they’ve simply been a step above this Flashpoint competition. MiBR is obviously in a similar position, but they have lost 4 maps during their streak and have not been as dominant in their series. Either way, this is making out to be a great series and the better of the 2 to watch. This will probably be a 2-1 series in either direction and we will have some good exposure to both teams. We see ourselves using all of these guys as they’re all capable of performing well and it’s just a matter of weighing risk versus cost. With that in mind, we like sjuush the most for his lower cost and high ceiling even though Bubzkji is a more consistent top performer. The next three all have risk, but acoR usually has the highest upside at the curious price of $5800 which opens up a lot of roster flexibility with a good amount of risk of course. This leaves AcilioN and roeJ as the two other guys we will sprinkle in with some team stacks but likely won’t play without the other guys on this team.

Top plays: sjuush/Bubzkji, acoR, roeJ/AcilioN

MiBR is fun for fantasy because we know TACO sucks, meyern can be okay, and the other three will carry and dictate how the series plays out. In the matchup of AWPers, FalleN seems to have a leg up on acoR and their play styles should likely benefit him the most of the big 3 here. After that, kNgV has been more consistent recently and we’ll gladly take the cost savings from fer for a similar upside here. Meyern can be part of a team stack but shouldn’t really be targeted outside of that. TACO has had some decent performances recently, likely to his own surprise, but against a better team here he’ll likely just be ground beef.

Top plays: FalleN/kNgV, fer, meyern
