4.16.20 CSGO Slate

Another dinky 2 game slate full of teams you haven’t heard of is ahead of us here. These games are all a best of 2 again so be wary of this slate as it will punish your guys hard if they aren’t great out of the gate. We have a few more days like this before some better games will start ramping up. Try to hold it out and maybe take these days off as a breather before getting back at it. Stay safe, have fun, and game on.

Draftkings’ scoring follows the chart shown below, with a focus on K/D and clutch plays. Rosters are set with a Captain position who receives 1.5x his points at 1.5x his salary, but beyond that it is positionless. This is important to understand because CS teams follow a composition of different roles such as IGL (In game leader), entry fragger, support, etc. With Draftkings making no distinction between players, it is left to you to decide which roles are most important within this scoring system and to take advantage of that. For several teams for example, their IGL is not often going to score highly as they may be less skilled at the game but are valuable in ways that Draftkings doesn’t record. With that in mind, we will jump into a quick look at the roles of key players, their key stats, and how their perceived performance should fare in accordance with their salary.

Our top plays are designed to show the most playable options on each team, factoring in performance and price. The top 2 plays on each team will be in our player pool and the third tier top plays are people we will sprinkle in a bit along with the core group. All of the statistics shown are for the last 3 months to see who has been performing well recently while still keeping a significant sample size. Good luck to everyone and we are always looking for feedback on how to improve the readability of our content!

SKA(+108) V Win(-141) (5:30 AM EST)

SKA:

PlayerDK SalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundKASTImpact
Rainwaker$84001.210.7873.80%1.23
dennyslaw$74001.080.7268.90%1.1

Rock1nG$58000.990.6269.70%0.95
SPELLAN$50000.990.6167.20%1.01

Skade are the underdogs here despite great recent performance and they do not match up well against Winstrike. We like Rainwaker and feel he can be solid even in a loss but his price makes that a risky gamble unless you believe in the upset. In a bad loss, SPELLAN is likely to struggle but if they keep it close or upset he has solid upside for a very low price if you are willing to take a flyer on him. Dennyslaw is the guy we’d pair with Rainwaker if you believe, but we will likely not touch him at all besides a contrarian stack lineup in a GPP.

Top Plays: No first, Rainwaker, dennyslaw/SPELLAN

Win:

PlayerDK SalaryRating 2.0Kills/RoundKASTImpact
El1an$86001.190.7372.00%1.22

bondik$68001.10.6773.70%0.97
Lack1$60001.030.6868.70%1.04
KrizzeN$520010.671%0.84

Everything we’re looking at looks like a Winstrike victory in this spot (they are going to certainly ban SKA’s only decent map, inferno) and we’ll be looking to target these guys. El1an has one of the highest upsides on the slate, as he should for $8600, and we like him here a lot to perform as expected. We will likely pair him with Hobbit and bondik in a bunch of 3 man stacks, or throw in a KrizzeN in a spicy, high-risk stack. This is a team that probably cannot be avoided on this slate and exposure to all these guys across GPP entries is advised.

Top plays: El1an, Hobbit/bondik, KrizzeN

shokz$54000.90.5667.80%0.9
bubble$48000.840.5365.10%0.79

SMASH is currently ranked as the #131 team in the world so it should be no surprise that they are underdogs against #63 Espada. A quick glance at our player stats here should also paint a picture of a possible dredging as well, as disco doplan’s stats usually belong to the 4th or 5th guy on a CS squad, not it’s top player. We could try to call who will do the least terrible here, but outside of a majorly risky contrarian team stack because you hate money, there is not much of a reason to play anyone here.

FinigaN$64001.060.6573.40%0.92
s0tF1k$56000.910.5469.00%0.82

Nothing is a given, especially in video games and DFS, but this is a really good spot for an Espada squad that needs to get on the right side of the scoreboard in LOOT.Bet season 6. Degster is the easy top play here and we should see him and El1an fight for the highest ownership of the slate. Dima and FinigaN are our top picks to pair in a 3 man stack and Patsi can be playable as well but we’ll have less exposure there. S0tF1k is likely the one guy here we really won’t target at all if we can help it.

Top plays: degster, Dima/FinigaN, Patsi
