MAD Lions swept HAVU in grand fashion yesterday to make their way to the Grand Final against MiBR here. This should be a fun series and betting lines are pretty even. This really should be a 2-1 series if both teams step up to the plate and will be a great series to watch on your Sunday afternoon. There are some decent prizes to be had for this single game and the name of the game may be trying to make weird teams to have that one unique squad at the top of the scoreboard, but we’ll try to play it safe and expect the top players to step up in the grand final. Stay safe, have fun, and game on.

Draftkings’ scoring follows the chart shown below, with a focus on K/D and clutch plays. Rosters are set with a Captain position who receives 1.5x his points at 1.5x his salary, but beyond that it is positionless. This is important to understand because CS teams follow a composition of different roles such as IGL (In game leader), entry fragger, support, etc. With Draftkings making no distinction between players, it is left to you to decide which roles are most important within this scoring system and to take advantage of that. For several teams for example, their IGL is not often going to score highly as they may be less skilled at the game but are valuable in ways that Draftkings doesn’t record. With that in mind, we will jump into a quick look at the roles of key players, their key stats, and how their perceived performance should fare in accordance with their salary.

All of the statistics shown are for the last 3 months to see who has been performing well recently while still keeping a significant sample size.

MAD Lions had a sweep in fantastic fashion yesterday and have some momentum headed into this series. They are currently favorites by the thinnest of margins despite losing 2-1 in their last matchup against MiBR. Sjuush was their top performer yesterday and he has been playing well recently. We saw roeJ and AcilioN go off yesterday and it’s hard to find a reason why that will happen again. AcilioN in particular is usually just the IGL who is around the bottom of the team but he showed off some skills yesterday. People might flock to him in the hope he does so again, but we’ll try not to overreact to that. AcoR did great and is still cheap but he matches up poorly with MiBR and we are not as high on him today as we were yesterday. Bubzkji has to rebound here for MAD to have a chance and he’ll be one of the most owned guys despite his price.

Top Plays: sjuush, Bubzkji, roeJ/acoR

MiBR:

meyern7400.99.6370.3%.91
TACO7000.92.5467.2%.84

Despite trailing slightly in current betting odds, we feel that MiBR should be able to pull out another 2-1 victory here. The 3 man stack of the top of this squad should overpower the MAD frontline and provide an advantage. FalleN is our number one player in this series and we will have a lot of exposure to him. We again feel strongly about focusing on the stars in a large spot and will look to fer and kNgV to do what is necessary to win. We are more comfortable with meyern and TACO than AcilioN and roeJ and although we will have some exposure to all 10 guys on the slate, we will certainly be looking at these guys more often. We put 4 tiers here which is more appropriate for a single game slate like this. Unlike yesterday, we feel that we’ll need more expensive guys in the captain spots to succeed and cheaper guys at the bottom to make it work.
Top plays: FalleN, fer, kNgV, meyern/TACO
