4.19.20 LOL LEC/LCS Finals Slate

We’re finally here. The Grand Finals.

Ok, it’s really not as exciting since we’ve been covering mostly LPL and LCK here at GameOn DFS, but finals are still a good time. G2 delivered as expected, putting their issues with Mad Lions behind them and moving one step closer to winning it all. Meanwhile, FLY managed to turn things around, taking down EG. Out of the two matchups, we’re a bit more excited for G2 and FNC, seeing as Cloud 9 are such a dominant powerhouse. However, if FLY manages to exceed expectations tomorrow, wouldn’t that make for an exciting story?

G2’s game against Mad Lions looked more like what we expected to happen, although it wasn’t a complete stomp. Still, they are looking far better than the beginning of the playoffs, so their games against FNC are sure to be exciting. FNC are still a very strong team, with G2 being their biggest challenge (as it should be.) If G2 keeps their consistency up, then they have a good chance here, but it won’t be an easy win.

Wunder had a good game against MAD today on Cho’Gath, but that isn’t necessarily the norm. Jankos, Caps, and Perkz are still the most solid picks, but in a 2 series slate with G2 and C9, these players are likely to be pricey. With players like Selfmade, Bwipo, and Nemesis in the mix, grabbing some FNC players in a closer matchup might not be the worst idea, but the Caps and Perkz potential is extremely enticing. It’s a difficult choice to make, but if FNC can’t keep up with G2, then they will be wasteful picks. Rekkles is still a solid adc and a strong point for FNC, but against Caps/Mikyx there’s no guarantee he’ll outshine his team.

C9(TBD) V FLY(TBD)  (4 PM EST)

There isn’t too much to say about C9. FLY have done very well throughout this split, but when you drop 2 games to TSM odds are you’re not going to do as well against C9. Not trying to bash TSM here, but C9 is just on a whole different level than the rest of NA this split. Crazier things have happened, so you never know, but this is a huge series for C9 and they’ve had plenty of time to prepare.

Blaber has been a fantastic jungler for C9 throughout the split and would serve as an excellent jungle pick. Nisqy is a similar story, although his more guaranteed performances are on Zoe, a champion that will likely be banned out this series. Seriously, FLY might let Zoe through once, but if they get swept and don’t ban it once then they should have just forfeited today’s matchup against EG. They are sure to be considering a lot of strategies, but Zoe has been a powerhouse throughout the world this split and letting Nisqy play it for every game will be beyond stupid. PowerOfEvil could do quite a bit of damage on Zoe as well, and his strength as a mid laner is another reason why Nisqy might not look as attractive here, but the rest of C9 are looking very good. At the end of the day, it will come down to the teams working as a whole, and C9 has looked more consistent in that regard.

C9 Top Picks: Licorice, Blaber, Zven, Vulcan FLY Top Picks: Solo, PowerOfEvil, IgNar
