As we move closer to the playoffs, things are starting to get a bit spicy. iG and JDG were pretty standard victories, as most of us expected, but the WE/EDG matchup was both surprising and exciting. Despite the mistakes made, there were solid plays and strategies from both sides, and it’s always interesting to see the underdogs come out on top with so much at stake. We’ll have to wait and see if WE are able to replicate this victory against OMG, a weaker team with a bit of a different playstyle, or if they’ll fall apart.

This match should be an interesting one. Between Haro’s godlike jungle performance and Peanut’s reputation, the jungle is likely to command the viewer’s attention. Both teams have lost to stronger opponents recently, although LGD managed to drop a series 0-2 against BLG, so that’s a bit sketchy. RW has been more consistent overall, but as with yesterday’s slate, the stakes are high. If WE could take down EDG, then LGD could prove they’re still breathing.

Haro remains a great choice, mainly if RW does well. Haro has proven to struggle against the stronger teams like FPX and JDG, but he’s had a solid streak when winning. Given RW’s chances here, he is more likely than not to work well for you.  Wuming has had some decent performances as well, despite only playing 7 games so far (most of them this month.) After replacing Ruby for games 2 and 3 against FPX, he managed to have a decent performance, although the team as a whole couldn’t take them down. Against LGD, his chances are likely to be better. However, if Haro decides to focus his attention on bot lane, then ZWuJi and Ley could shut down the Kramer/killua duo, and set up RW for victory.

WE had a difficult obstacle to overcome in the form of EDG, and overcome it they did. Now they find themselves against an aggressive team, so despite OMG being the stronger team overall, they will still have to work hard for this victory. Still, based on how they performed, WE aren’t messing around and could very well prove it once more in this slate.

Morgan had some decent games against EDG, although Aodi was a force to be reckoned with. Against Curse, Morgan could really shine in this series, especially with beishang’s help. The star player, however, was definitely Jiumeng. If he can replicate what he did against EDG, then he will be a phenomenal adc to take going into this slate.  OMG’s roster hasn’t done very well when they lose, but H4cker and SmLz have been the best picks for matches that the team performed well in. This matchup isn’t as unbelievable for WE, so we’ll have to see if OMG has anything special planned for tomorrow.

FPX(-256) V TES(+189)  (6:30 AM EST)

Under normal circumstances, this would be a fairly easy series to call. TES is a strong team, but FPX are on another level and would likely take it. It’s likely they’ll do well, but you can’t immediately count TES out due to a very interesting factor; JackeyLove. His series against V5 was definitely a warmup for him, as he didn’t do all that great game 2. V5 did go rather deep for him consistently, but his positioning could’ve been better. However, his next series against eStar was proof enough he has what it takes. The only thing is eStar hasn’t been as consistent as FPX, so this will be the real challenge. If TES can take this series, they will prove to everyone watching they are worthy of being top contenders, but it’s going to be their biggest challenge this split.

Knight76.4%5.38.4
JackeyLove64.7%3.68.9
yuyanjia72.7%4.9

GimGoon doesn’t always have the best scores, but it’s possible FPX will focus their attention on 369 for this series. With JackeyLove a bit of an unknown, they might focus on that particular matchup, especially with Tian being so strong in the jungle. On the other hand, Doinb is a force to be reckoned with, so keep an eye on mid lane as well. Tian is probably the safer pick, considering whatever FPX decides to do, Tian will be at the center of it. Lwx didn’t net the most points in yesterday’s slate, so despite his strength as an adc, it’s up in the air if he is worth the cost. If TES can turn things around, then JackeyLove is likely to be the star once again, but if not his score could turn disastrous very quickly. Knight has been very consistent mid, but now he finds himself against Doinb and Tian, so unless the team can play well around this matchup then he might not perform so well. Still, if TES comes fully prepared, they could do serious damage to FPX. A lot of lanes are in the air here, making this one of the more difficult matchups to predict, so keep an open mind and work around your salary.

FPX Top Picks: GimGoon, Tian, Doinb TES Top Picks: Karsa, Knight, JackeyLove
