It’s unusual for a team like EDG to be outperformed by SN and DWG, but the iG and EDG matchup was an exciting series of games, which doesn’t always lead to incredible scores (Hope did phenomenally well Game 1, but EDG lost the next 2 matches.) Given the nature of this slate, we might see some similar matchups, and it’s even more intense given the 2 series slate. LCK will start back up on Wednesday.

V5(-104) V VG(-125) (5 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||30:48||32:56|
Even though V5 is definitely stronger now than during the spring, they aren’t exactly in the top 3. Still, they face VG, another weaker LPL team who won’t be starting their main jungler Aix. Even so, VG has a decent chance of taking this match. This matchup is ultimately a bit risky, but you don’t have any other choices in a 2 game slate. At the end of the day, both teams have only seen real success against even weaker LPL teams, although it’s notable VG gave WE a run for their money in Game 1 of that particular matchup.
V5 Top Picks:
Leyan is a solid choice for the jungle, but it remains to be seen how he’ll fare with his new team. We’ve said a lot of good things about Aix, but it’s entirely possible Leyan will turn the tides of this matchup in VG’s favor. The rest of VG’s roster is fairly solid, but the salary makes them less appealing. You’re likely to have trouble fitting all of those picks into your lineup. If you want VG and RNG, you might have to sacrifice the classic ADC Captain strategy, while any other lineup could see success in that area. This might make V5 a decent option in a number of lineups as SamD has been a wonderful asset to the new V5, making his support a worthwhile choice as well (not to mention Ppgod is very cheap.)
ES(+194) V RNG(-263) (7 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||34:26||33:50|
We’ve got yet another interesting matchup here, although RNG are favorites for obvious reasons. Despite the skill of their roster, ES seems to have fallen apart in recent games, often looking very sloppy yet somehow making the games rather challenging for the enemies. Yes, an ES win is sure to result in phenomenal scores, and that could mean great things given their ownership is going to be lower than usual. However, RNG’s consistency is far greater this split and it’s difficult to bet against them here. If you live for the risky lineups, here’s your slate.
ES Top Picks
WIth RNG, you’ll want the strongest and most expensive players, with XLB remaining a fantastic choice. He hasn’t been completely dominant in every single game, but he had some decent showings when losing to LNG (especially on Lee Sin.) Meanwhile, Xiaohu and Betty are consistent choices regardless, but if you want to mix in VG players then you’ll have to make some changes to fit everyone in. As for ES, their past performances leave them more expensive than the V5 players on DK, but FD has them listed as the cheapest plays of the slate. This makes FD fairly attractive for those who embrace the risky lineups, as you could even stack ES players beyond the picks listed here just to see how well they do. It wouldn’t be the smartest move to put everything you have on that happening given RNG’s record, but hey, it’s risky for a reason. Only thing that makes us come back to that point is the incredible payoff potential.
