Things went generally as expected yesterday, but it likely won’t be the same case for this slate. Some of these matchups are pretty wild and can be very unpredictable, making this a fairly unpredictable slate. It’ll be interesting to see how it all turns out, but don’t expect a clean sweep across all the favorites.

DYN(-130) V SP(+100) (4 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||32:15||34:27|
DYN has been pretty solid given they are the newest team in the LCK, but they couldn’t quite make it against AF. Their chances here aren’t too bad, even if they still have some weaknesses (Rich.) SP had some respectable defeats to DWG, but even so, they definitely aren’t a very strong team right now either. Ultimately their experience and top lane advantage could give them the edge here, unless they decide to leave Aatrox open just to see what happens.
DYN Top Picks:
Look, it’s not like Rich is a platinum level player who somehow found himself in the LCK, but he just seems to be rather oblivious to what’s going on around him at times. It honestly looks like the curse of the one-trick: you take the only champion you play and use their playstyle with every other champion in the game. Given this, we could see Ikssu and Flawless abuse Rich in the top lane, with Ikssu likely getting the better of the trades.
The bot lane combo from SP could be the best investment, especially since they are fairly cheap in comparison to some other players in this slate. We’ve seen some decent plays in lane from deokdam and GuGer but they’ve made a lot of mistakes too, so HyBrid and Secret seem far more solid. Still, the top lane remains the most ideal pick when you consider all of the matchups available as there are some phenomenal picks to come.
OMG(+125) V LNG(-164) (5 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||31:46||33:53|
There isn’t a whole lot to be excited about when you look at this matchup, but given LNG’s surprise victories against teams like RNG, we might see something special out of them. They clearly have something that can work, even if the teams they fought were playing poorly. Even if poor gameplay is the only basis you have for going with LNG, rest assured. OMG has plenty of experience in that department.
OMG Top Picks
We don’t want to reduce the number of picks for some of these potentially weaker matchups, but it’s worth noting you might want to save your ADC spot for matchups we’ve yet to discuss. For now, the LNG picks can serve you well as a secondary choice, and OMG’s lineup would certainly make for a few contrarian choices. At the end of the day, however, it just doesn’t make sense to take either SmLz or Light with JackeyLove and Aiming in this slate. If you don’t like KT and want 2 ADCs, that’s a different story given Light’s less expensive pricing in comparison to these other 2.
BLG(+788) V TES(-2000) (7 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||29:57||32:57|
This pretty much sums it up.
TES Top Picks:
The most important thing is to secure the top players on TES. You could include Karsa due to the assist count we can expect to see, and it’s possible 369 could have a wonderful performance, but you need to prioritize Knight and JackeyLove. That being said, we could see contests with 75% of the participants winning 1st place if this gets bad enough. Slight exaggeration of course, but you get the idea. If you don’t, just look at the picture again.
KT(-233) V HLE(+173) (7 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||32:11||33:01|
Given HLE hasn’t been the strongest team (T1 is a difficult matchup for most LCK teams, but they didn’t fare as well into SP either) KT looks incredibly tempting. Aiming in particular is a wonderful choice, but the primary issue here is cost. Aiming is the 2nd most expensive ADC in the slate, so if your goal is to run a TES/KT lineup, you’ll need a different role for your captain. There might be some interesting lineups where you can work around some cheaper picks in order to fit JackeyLove and Aiming into the picture, but be careful about the sacrifices you might need to make in order for that to happen.
KT Top Picks:
For those of you who love the contrarian lineups, V1PER isn’t a bad idea. We aren’t including him since HLE’s odds aren’t good enough to make it a viable pick under most circumstances, but if that’s how you play then go to town. At any rate, Aiming is of course the most obvious choice for KT, and we’ll just mention one more thing about that. We’ve been talking him up since KT started playing and for good reason, but don’t think substituting JackeyLove for Aiming is a good idea in this slate.
As for the others, HLE’s TOP/JNG might serve you well in the case of an upset, but we probably won’t see the rest of the team outscore some of the other teams in the slate so even the low salaries aren’t all that tempting.
