Only a 2 gamer here for the LPL so there is not much wiggle room and we should all see chalky lineups. LCK isn’t back for a few days so either take a short break or roll the dice with these tiny slates.

DMO(+393) V EDG(-625) (5 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||30:06||33:59|
Pretty straightforward matchup, even with Hope out for a while. DMO managed to take their first game against SN but still lost the series, so this could be an easy 2-0 for EDG. As such, the EDG roster is the most expensive to acquire in the slate, so grabbing them in a 2 gamer might mean making some sacrifices if you want FPX as well.
DMO Top Picks:
There are a number of ideal picks for EDG’s lineup here, but you’ll want the main carries going into this series. Since everyone is so expensive, you’re going to have a difficult time stacking 4 of their players, but if you can make it work then by all means. This is definitely the best team to bet on in the slate and would be even if we had LCK teams here. It’s slightly disappointing Hope isn’t around to stomp DMO here, but BDD will do just fine. Oddly enough, his score was bad when EDG took a game against TES, yet he did alright for himself both times they lost after. This isn’t likely to repeat as he’s going from fighting the best LPL team to one of the worst. Also, Scout is actually $200 cheaper on DK, so you save a little salary if you go that route.
FPX(-263) V V5(+194) (7 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||31:32||30:53|
This is another straightforward matchup, although not necessarily as much of a lock as EDG/DMO. Sweeping RNG is no small feat by V5 and definitely puts them on the map for this split, but this is going to be an even bigger challenge. Still, FPX did manage to lose to LNG and iG so far, with LNG being a particularly surprising loss. They’re definitely the favorites for a reason, just don’t assume V5 has no chance here. At the very least, a V5 victory would help with lineup construction so as to better grab your EDG players.
FPX Top Picks:
The FPX picks are almost too good to pass up. They’ve been on fire recently with special emphasis on Tian and Doinb; Lwx is a safe bet at any rate, but don’t expect to grab him and BDD both. We’ve included some more V5 picks due to the cheap salaries on their side given the odds here. Every single player on V5’s roster had a good showing against RNG, but we’re a bit concerned about Mole’s performance when up against Doinb. Laning phase doesn’t usually dictate how a player will perform at this level, but sometimes you have some very one-sided matchups.
Still, don’t think V5 will do this just because they took down RNG. FPX is a different animal and won’t be as easy to conquer. We did favor ES against FPX due to the incredible payoff had ES been victorious, and V5 might actually have a better chance than ES did, but it’s still a bit of a reach. By the way, if you told us we’d be saying that a few months ago, we’d have laughed in your face.
