We’ve seen some rather unexpected games recently, and this slate should leave plenty of room for many different outcomes. The salaries in this slate are very interesting considering the way the matchups can play out. We’ll get into it below, but be prepared for a number of different outcomes.

AF(-357) V HLE(+252) (4 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||34:41||33:50|
We’ve seen some decent scores out of HLE in some of these games, so there is potential there, but it’s usually centered around Viper. Otherwise, we don’t have much to look forward to on HLE’s side of things in this matchup. We could see some amazing AF performances here which could open up some interesting opportunities as far as salary is concerned. Still, expect a good performance out of AF first.
AF Top Picks: Kiin, Fly, Mystic, Ben HLE Top Picks: Lava, Viper
Interestingly enough, AF’s Kiin is the most expensive top laner on DK. He’s had some decent performances but nothing drastically better than other top laners in the LCK. He could be a decent pick in FD, but he might not be worth the salary on DK. The rest of the roster is fairly cheap, however, and we’ve seen Mystic especially do extremely well in winning situations. Despite the cheaper picks here, this could be a very lucrative slate. Bear in mind Viper has had fantastic games even in losing situations; he remains HLE’s greatest asset by far. Still, the only way he’ll be a worthwhile pick is if HLE can win 2-0 (or if they reach 3 games and he plays extremely well in all 3.) This makes him a phenomenal pick for contrarian lineups that’ll have 2 adcs, but don’t go for him expecting him to outperform the victors in these matches.
RW(+123) V OMG(-161) (5 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||30:23||31:46|
This is going to be a close matchup with potential for incredible performances on either side, but we’re uncertain if the teams will actually deliver. We’re inclined to go with RW given the difference Haro makes, although H4cker isn’t the worst jungler in the world. Still, despite RW’s garbage performances so far, Haro has the potential to turn their luck around. Granted, they’ve lost against 3 teams with Haro in the mix, but those teams were SN, JDG, and WE. SN isn’t phenomenal in comparison to the other 2, but he only played one game and had a great performance overall. Now that RW find themselves against OMG, they stand a chance to take their first series. Just beware about a 3 game series here, since RW’s roster isn’t exactly leagues above OMG overall.
RW Top Picks Haro, Ruby OMG Top Picks SmLz, cold
We’re not as invested in this matchup overall given some of the other teams playing, but bear in mind you can grab more players if you plan on stacking either team here. Both teams are very cheap given the other matchups, so there are plenty of options in that regard. Still, you’re probably better off grabbing more players from some other games; just keep in mind there are some decent LPL picks here that can save you some salary.
If you want anyone from RW, be sure you grab Haro. He’s definitely their strongest player and has incredible potential. He could even work nicely if you want 2 junglers in your lineup. We’ll throw in ZWuJi as he’s been doing fairly well alongside his team’s successes, but we aren’t too wild about the rest of the team in general. Still, bear in mind they could perform better here against OMG’s lineup, so don’t think you can’t go beyond these picks here if you really like RW’s chances. OMG on the other hand isn’t too exciting and we wouldn’t recommend going beyond the bot lane, although it’s possible Curse can perform well in the top lane. We’re just a bit worried Haro will prevent Holder from losing, so we don’t think Curse is worth investing in.
WE(+123) V JDG(-161) (7 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||34:34||30:33|
JDG isn’t exactly what it used to be a few months ago, even if they are still a fairly strong team. Given they’re up against WE this time, we could see an incredibly exciting matchup. There are phenomenal choices on both teams, but it’s hard to say which team will come out on top. Definitely don’t expect a 2-0 on either side, but the potential for high scoring could make that irrelevant. Honestly, if there was a game to stack this might be it.
WE Top Picks: Morgan, beishang, Jiumeng, Missing JDG Top Picks: Kanavi, Yagao, LokeN
We don’t usually throw in Teacherma given his playstyle on WE, but bear in mind there are times the support mid lane could prove to be an excellent pick. It all depends on how the mid lane looks for the other teams; if there are no mid lane stars in the slate, we could see Teacherma’s supportive performance pay dividends. A high assist count is nothing to be ashamed of; a high KP% in the game means you’ll rack up assists very quickly, and if the kills are spread out amongst the different players (which does happen frequently) then you’ll see the most value out of a player like Teacherma. Missing was looking a little strange at times in past games, but the rest of the roster is both affordable and could lead to great things.
JDG on the other hand is very expensive on both platforms yet could lead to fantastic scores. These picks are the standard choices for them, especially since Kanavi has been looking a bit more on point recently. Yes, he’s against beishang, but a strong JDG typically means a strong Kanavi despite whatever jungler he finds himself paired against. Yagao could be a great choice as WE’s opposing mid laners typically score fairly well; it’s one of the drawbacks of having someone like Teacherma play mid, but it helps with choosing a line up for sure.
DRX(-500) V DYN(+332) (7 AM EST)
|Avg. Game Length||33:03||33:16|
DRX is incredibly expensive in this slate on both sites, something that doesn’t really make all that much sense. Yes, DRX is one of the strongest LCK teams as of this moment, but DYN isn’t exactly weak either. It’s more likely than not that DRX will take this series, and we could even see a 2-0 out of them, but it’s uncertain how high they’ll score. We’ve seen DYN hold their own so far this split and this isn’t a playoffs match. We don’t really expect DYN to take the series, but don’t write them off based on salary choices for DRX.
DRX Top Picks: Pyosik, Deft DYN Top Picks: Beyond, Kuzan
Like we said, don’t think DYN will turn things around here. It’s obviously possible given LoL is filled with upsets at strange times, but DRX is still a solid team. It’s not like we are downplaying them based on their skill; we just don’t think they’ll net as many points as the other teams in the slate given how expensive their salaries are. Yes, players like Pysoik and Deft will do well, but the question is how well. You can hedge your bets and grab some of their players in case DYN completely falls apart to be sure, but don’t bank on this matchup being the most successful. There are simply too many other options to consider. There are some decent DYN options as well, but we don’t expect them to do as well. At the end of the day, you can grab some contrarian DYN lineups, but this might be the matchup to avoid.
