As long as baseball is still here, we will be betting on it. Hopefully these teams can start making better choices and not go clubbing during a pandemic, is that too hard to ask? A lot of terrible arms are going today so hopefully we see some fun scores and hot batters to pair with the few aces going. Good luck and game on!

White Sox(-130) V Royals(+112) 7:05 EST

Gio Gonzalez$7,200$5,7003.501.29.213.328
Ronald Bolanos$6,400$5,5005.951.47.362.309

Gio Gonzalez  is usually about as average as they come but he sucked in his first start this year. Righties hit him much better and that’s good news for the Royals. Whit Merrifield, Soler, Franco, etc will all have chances at big hits.

Ronald Bolanos had a pretty solid debut against the Indians, only yielding 2 unearned runs. Lefties hit him better and the White Sox lineup doesn’t have much to offer from that side of the plate. Moncada is a target but this is not really a team to stack.

Red Sox(+185) V Yankees (-220) 7:07 EST

Zack Godley$5,900$6,4005.971.50.350.344
Masahiro Tanaka$7,500$8,5004.451.24.349.279

Zack Godley had a lot of struggles last year but he is only expected to throw a few innings here as more of an opener. Yankees bats should be able to chase him out before he was expected to leave and the Sox bullpen is fun to pick on. Yankees bats are in play and DJ has looked hot in particular.

Tanaka has recovered from his concussion and boasted a 24.75 ERA against the RED Sox last year…that’s not a typo, he gives up dingers to this team. The Red Sox have been sluggish on offense to start the year and we hope this matchup breathes life into their bats. Devers, JD, and Benintendi are a nice trio but they are all in play.

Astros(-165) V Angels(+140) 7:07 EST

Zack Greinke$10,800$9,0002.930.98.255.270
Griffin Canning$8,700$7,2004.581.22.299.325

Zack Greinke didn’t look great in his abbreviated debut but he should be able to bounce back here. The Angels are still without Trout and are not too scary once you get over the hump of the beginning of the lineup. He has risk today but also great upside.

Griffin Canning is an interesting pitcher for fantasy because he has great K potential but he gives up runs. The Astros are not the matchup we want to look at for a pitcher like him. Astros bats are in play and they should be able to send him home early.

Cardinals(-148) V Brewers (+125) 7:10 EST

Adam Wainwright$9,200$8,1004.191.43.368.297
Corbin Burnes$6,200$6,5008.821.84.514.343

Mets(+102) V Braves(-118) 7:10 EST

Michael Wacha$7,800$7,7004.761.56.343.371
Touki Toussaint$7,300$5,5005.621.68.488.277

Michael Wacha looked competent in his debut which was a surprise to most but we can’t imagine that the Braves offense will allow that to happen again. He is too risky for fantasy for his lack of strikeout upside.

Touki Toussaint was a top pitching prospect but his transition to the Majors has been largely a failure. He is shredded by lefties and was hit around in his first appearance this season. The Mets are in play and we like Cano, McNeil, and Conforto.

Indians(+110) V Twins(-129) 7:10 EST

Carlos Carrasco$9,200$9,4005.291.35.347.364
Kenta Maeda$9,000$7,9004.041.07.319.229

Carlos Carrasco was magnificent in his debut, racking up 10 ks en route to a great fantasy performance. The Twins offense shredded Clevinger but was silenced by Bieber, will Carrasco end up somewhere in between? He has the upside but he is also facing this year’s top offense. Nelson Cruz, Josh Donaldson, and Jorge Polanco all have nice history against him.

Kenta Maeda had a solid debut against a formidable White Sox lineup but this Indians group will give him far more looks from the left side of the plate where he struggles. He has nice upside here in a neutral matchup but be aware of guys like Santana and Lindor.

Rays (-225) V Orioles(+188) 7:35 EST

Tyler Glasnow$9,300$9,8001.780.89.185.253
Wade LeBlanc$4,400$5,9005.711.45.369.356

Tyler Glasnow is the top option of the day and should be mega chalk. He was impressive in his debut, silenced the Orioles last year, and come on…it’s the Os.

Wade LeBlanc sucks. The Rays are fully in play and batters from both sides of the plate are playable. Lowe, Choi, and Tsutsugo are all worth a look.

Dodgers(-144) V Diamondbacks(+126) 8:10 EST

Julio Urias$9,900$7,8002.491.08.291.247
Luke Weaver$8,100$7,5002.941.07.268.281

Julio Urias is a staff favorite with unbelievable raw stuff that often needs polishing. His first appearance showed just that with too many hits and walks as a result of sloppy command. This kid has as much potential as any starter in the league but he’s not quite there yet, play him with trepidation.

Luke Weaver was railed by the Padres in his first start and now is facing a lefty heavy Dodgers squad, pass. He’s normally talented but does not look right yet after a short summer so look for hot Dodgers bats to be able to get a hold of some misplaced pitches.

Padres(-125) V Rockies(+108) 8:10 EST

Joey Lucchesi$6,400$6,4004.
Kyle Freeland$5,500$6,0006.731.58.331.383

Joey Lucchesi is on a pitch count and in Coors field, avoid him. Bats from both teams are always in play in the mile high city.

Kyle Freeland was great in his first start but that was not in Coors or against a righty heavy Padres team that has found success against him. We like Padres righties today to do some damage in Denver.

Pirates(+143) V Cubs(-165) 8:15 EST

Mitch Keller$8,500$6,2007.131.83.415.374
Tyler Chatwood$8,200$8,0003.761.33.357.261

Mitch Keller did well in his debut but his lack of strikeouts won’t cut it for fantasy. We don’t like Cubs bats today if he flashes the same command here.

Tyler Chatwood dismantled the Pirates in 2019 and his 8 strikeout debut exudes confidence in him here. He should be a little bit under the radar today and offers tremendous upside for his price.

Athletics(-152) V Mariners(+130) 9:10 EST

Mike Fiers$8,000$7,0003.901.19.292.314
Yusei Kikuchi$5,100$5,8005.461.52.340.374

Mike Fiers was pretty solid in his debut and we have no reason to target Mariners bats against him. He’s not a great fantasy starter so we are staying away here.

Kikuchi was awful last year and continued his poor play into this season. He struggles to bats from both sides and the A’s should get opportunities to put runs up here. They are not the scariest offense around but guys like Chapman and Olson have upside.

Rangers(-120) V Giants(-103) 9:10 EST

Jordan Lyles$7,900$6,7004.151.32.382.277
Drew Smyly$7,300$6,1006.241.59.432.364

Jordan Lyles is not a good pitcher but the Giants are not a good offense. Maybe a guy like Brandon Crawford could go off here but there are too many better spots on the board today to be looking here.

Drew Smyly’s debut was a fluke. Lefties hit him hard and Gallo/Odor are a pair of good ones in the heart of the lineup.
